Therapy is Cheap.   Flickring Lights.

I draw.
I take photos.
I ramble.
I feel a bit in-lust.

Now lick me & purr.
So this “issue” about this Twelve Year-old Kid;

Refer to this.

I think it’s sad what we are doing with Social Media. We are so spoiled by it that we don’t take the time to even think or react with caution.

We are all soldiers of our own beliefs because we all fight wars we think are correct but may be something else to others. We are quick to draw swords of hate towards something we do not understand and I am not excluding myself in this observation.

UST may not be a dream for this person or to any of her “smart” friends but it is a dream to many to get into this school (I’ve heard more than a handful of people say this) and that’s why I understand lots of Thomasians posting this with accompanying hateful words but will that really make it right? Will that really prove to this person that we are “better”? Is the bullying really necessary?

We are so quick to gang-up on the opinionated that we don’t stop to check ourselves if we are, in fact, in the right and in the know. Yes, not all opinions are meant to be voiced in such a public manner. Yes, we are blessed with the freedom of speech. But haven’t we abused this right a little too much? Those who have fought so hard to allow us this freedom must be shaking their heads in disbelief at how misused this is.

Now, UST is not a perfect institution but what institution is? Like anything, it has its faults and everyone that went or is going there has figured this out (please admit this, we all know what’s wrong with it). I will tell you this, I may not be a fan of UST as a whole but this is where my perspectives, my beliefs and most importantly, my treasure of a friends were shaped and found. This is why I feel the need to defend it.

No, we all can’t be from Ateneo, La Salle or UP. But I’ve said this once and I will say it again: it is not the institution that makes you who you are as a person but it’s how you choose to take everything with a grain of salt.

We cannot treat people equally but we can treat them fairly.

I take this post about UST as a poorly constructed observation by an outsider who’s entitled to her own opinions. But to the author, please note: like anything in life - don’t generalize people just because of where they came from. This is, in my opinion, the root of all hate - assumption.

End of the day, it’s not only your IQ that matters but your EQ as well. Not all people from UST are model citizens but same goes for the “better” schools.

I am not defined by UST nor will I ever be but it is the people that I have met while I was in UST that made me into the person I am today.

I am, in my heart, a Fine Arts Tiger and like so many before and after me - everyone will hear us roar.
